Dr. Isaiah is a registered member of the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC). He holds a Master’s degree in Counselling from Singapore Bible College and has provided counselling across a range of clinical and community settings.
He has served with The Helping Hand, supporting individuals recovering from substance addiction, and with SACAC Counselling (Singapore American Community Action Council), where he conducted both online and in-person sessions – primarily Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) counselling – for clients experiencing stress, anxiety, burnout, and depression.
In his therapeutic work, he applies evidence-based approaches such as Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). He believes that a strong therapeutic alliance forms the foundation of effective counselling, working collaboratively with clients to build trust, clarity, and direction.
His sessions are structured and goal-oriented, helping clients establish clear objectives and monitor their progress. He measures outcomes through personal growth, improved daily functioning, collaborative goal reviews, client self-reports, and the use of standardized assessment tools – ensuring meaningful, continuous development throughout the counselling process.
