Alithea is a Registered Counsellor and Clinical Member of the Singapore Association for Counselling, holding a Master’s in Counselling and Guidance from Nanyang Technological University. She also has a background in Psychology from the National University of Singapore and has received additional training in areas including family violence management, suicide and self-harm, and grief and loss. Over the years, Alithea has supported individuals from diverse backgrounds, guiding them through experiences of trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, relationship challenges and parenting difficulties.
Alithea adopts a person-centred and trauma-informed approach, integrating techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Internal Family Systems Therapy and Mindfulness to tailor support to each client’s unique needs.
Having been on the other side of the proverbial couch herself, Alithea understands firsthand how daunting and vulnerable it can be to seek help. As such, she is wholly committed to cultivating a warm and welcoming environment where clients from diverse backgrounds and identities feel valued, heard and supported as they navigate paths toward greater fulfilment.
