Zara obtained her Master’s degree in Guidance and Counselling from James Cook University, Singapore, where she developed a strong foundation in supporting individuals through life transitions, career challenges, and emotional growth.
With over 15 years of experience, she has worked extensively with children, adolescents, and adults, helping clients manage anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-worth, addiction, self-harm, attachment issues, and learning difficulties. She also supports families in strengthening relationships and improving parenting dynamics.
Zara provides counselling, supervision, and assessments for clients across all age groups. Her therapeutic practice integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Schema Therapy, and Clinical Hypnotherapy. She is also trained in The Gottman Method for couples, helping partners enhance communication and deepen emotional connection.
Zara’s professional experience extends to corporate settings, where she works with Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) clients and provides clinical supervision to fellow counsellors. She is a Registered Counsellor and Clinical Member of the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) and a Master Practitioner/Supervisor (Level 4S) with the Association of Psychotherapists and Counsellors Singapore (APACS). She is also trained to assist people with suicidal ideation.
