Registered Counsellor with Singapore Association of Counselling
Sarah works with adults and couples. She is a registered counsellor with Singapore Association of Counselling. Sarah graduated with BA in business administration and worked in the finance industry before further obtaining a Master of Psychology from the University of Hong Kong, and a post graduate diploma in counselling from College of Allied Educators in Singapore.
Sarah is a counsellor based in Singapore who believes forming a relationship with empathy and understanding is key to change, and thus uses a client-centred therapeutic approach.
She was raised in both the UK and South Korea, which gave her a deep appreciation for different cultures and perspectives from a young age. Before becoming a counsellor, she worked in the corporate world as a hedge fund portfolio analyst. That experience gave her first-hand insight into the pressures and fast pace of demanding professional environments, as well as the stress and opportunities they bring.
Sarah has worked with clients with ADHD, anxiety, depression, anger issues as well as clients struggling with relationship issues. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, and humanistic and existential approaches.
She is passionate about connecting with people from diverse backgrounds and is particularly interested in supporting parents and families of neurodivergent children. Being a mother of two kids, she brings both professional understanding and personal empathy to her work with clients.
