Meeta Gupta Hari

Meeta is a trauma-informed counsellor who works with children, adolescents, and adults, bringing a calm and grounded presence to her practice. She specialises in developmental trauma arising from early relational disruptions, emotional neglect, or chronic childhood stress, and understands how these experiences can shape identity, relationships, and emotional regulation across the lifespan.

Her work integrates evidence-based approaches including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). She also incorporates somatic techniques and mindfulness to support nervous system regulation and a sense of inner safety.

Meeta takes a systemic approach, recognising the influence of family, school, workplace, and cultural contexts on emotional wellbeing. She supports clients experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-worth, self-harm, identity concerns, problematic screen use, life transitions, and the emotional impact of parental separation or high-pressure environments.

She has extensive experience working with young people and families in international and cross-cultural settings, thoughtfully incorporating play-based approaches when working with children.She also works closely with parents, supporting reflection on intergenerational patterns and fostering more connected, attuned relationships with their children. Her background in fast-paced corporate environments further informs her understanding of high-functioning stress and sustainable wellbeing. With over six years of experience across international schools, NGOs, and private practice, Meeta is skilled in supporting clients from diverse backgrounds.
